Description
Expands the definition of “dealer” to include AMM liquidity providers.
Legal Significance
Under the Final Rules, individuals who buy and sell securities or government securities for their own account are considered to be conducting this activity as part of a regular business. As a result, they must register as a dealer or government securities dealer if they consistently engage in buying and selling these securities in a manner that effectively provides liquidity to other market participants.
